The Carson River Work Day offers an opportunity for students to participate in a day filled with hands on events that educate them on water conservation, wildlife habitat, the water cycle, canal safety, and the Carson River watershed. The students learned how important it is to preserve the natural habitat for future uses.
River Wranglers, Churchill County High School, Churchill County FFA, Numa Elementary, Oasis Acadamy and Oasis FFA held the Carson River Workday. The location of the event took place at Rambling River Ranch. Over 450 fifth grade students and their teachers and chaperons spent the day learning about the Lahontan Valley, the water cycle, wood ducks, the Carson River Watershed and water chemistry.
